Harvest time tracking pricing in 2026: what changed
Harvest's list price per seat has moved little since 2022. Since early 2026 Harvest's pricing page lists usage charges for projects, clients, tasks and invoicing, and Harvest doesn't publish the rates. This page collects the published prices, Harvest's own billing rules and reported renewal cases, with a calculator. Prices as of October 21, 2026.
We make Clockaroo, a time tracking and invoicing app. We are not affiliated with Harvest. Harvest is a trademark of its owner, and we name it only to describe its pricing.

Archived copies of Harvest's pricing page show these list prices in US dollars. Dates are the first archived copy that shows each change.

The changes in 2026 came after Bending Spoons completed its purchase of Iridesco LLC, the owner of Harvest, on July 31, 2025, according to Bending Spoons' IPO prospectus.
How Harvest's usage charges work
Harvest's help center describes the billing in its article "Information about pricing plans" (updated October 11, 2026):
- There are two plans, Teams and Enterprise. Each is billed as Flex (usage-based) or Unlimited (fixed price).
- On Flex you pay a rate per seat plus charges based on the previous billing period: active projects, active clients, active tasks and invoicing. Only items with time tracked in that period count.
- Each plan includes a free usage allowance. The article doesn't give the numbers.
- For new accounts, usage charges begin at the second paid renewal.
- Harvest's own example: a bill can go "from a seats-only $44 to $404 once usage is added". That is about 9 times the seats-only bill.
- Accounts that upgraded from a trial before November 7, 2024 may still be on a legacy plan.
The rates per project, client, task or invoice appear only inside a Harvest account, under Settings, Billing, "My usage billing", where "Simulate usage changes" lets you test changes. The Unlimited price isn't published either. Separately, Harvest adds its own fee to card and ACH payments of your invoices on accounts without Premium or Unlimited usage billing, on top of Stripe's charges.
Reported renewal cases
These are cases reported in the press. People chose to make them public, so they don't show what every Harvest customer pays.
| Who | Before | After | Reported by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo web designer, 13 years on Harvest | $211.20 a year | $2,547.60 a year | Bloomberg Law, August 13, 2026 |
| UK consultancy, 15+ years on Harvest | About $130 a month | $2,110 a month; $1,309 a month for one prepaid year after pushback | BBC, as cited by Silicon UK, August 31, 2026 |
| US customer | $2,800 a year | $23,000 a year | BBC, as cited by Subscription Insider, August 22, 2026 |
Harvest's side, as reported: a spokesperson told the BBC that customers get notices 30 and 10 days before renewal, can change plans in one click or ask for a cheaper option, and that older accounts saw larger increases because the product is "much more capable" today.

What to check before your renewal
Open Settings, Billing in Harvest and look at "My usage billing". Count how many projects, clients and tasks had time tracked last period, and how many invoices you sent. Then compare Flex with Unlimited, and ask Harvest for the rates in writing if you can't find them.
How Clockaroo prices
You pay per person who tracks time. Team costs $9 per person per month, or $7 billed yearly. In Europe the same numbers apply in euros. Prices exclude VAT. Clients, projects, tasks and invoices never cost extra, and your price stays the same for 24 months from your first payment. Free covers one person with 5 invoices a month, and new workspaces get Team free for 14 days with no card.
See pricing or read the Harvest time tracking alternative comparison.
Switching from Harvest
After you sign up, open Settings and choose "Import from Harvest". You paste a personal access token and your account ID from the Developers section of Harvest ID; the token must belong to an Administrator. The import reads Harvest through its API and changes nothing there. It brings over:
- People, matched by email. Anyone else is added without a login until you invite them.
- Clients with their address, plus projects, tasks and hourly rates (project rates and personal rates).
- Time entries with the rate Harvest used. Time already billed in Harvest is marked and never goes on a new invoice.
- Issued invoices as a read-only archive with their payments. If you haven't issued invoices here yet, numbering continues after your last Harvest invoice from this year.
Harvest's task rates have no equivalent in Clockaroo: imported time keeps its Harvest rate, and new time uses the project rate. The token is stored encrypted and deleted when the import ends. You can run the import again; it adds only what is missing.

Questions
Did Harvest raise its price per seat?
The seat price changed little. Pro went from $12 to $13.75 per seat per month in November 2024 ($10.80 to $11 billed yearly). Since February 2026 the Teams plan starts at $11 per seat per month, or $9 billed yearly. The large increases people report come from usage charges and plan changes at renewal.
What are Harvest's usage charges?
On Harvest's Flex billing you pay per seat plus charges for active projects, active clients, active tasks and invoicing in the previous billing period. Each plan includes a free allowance. Harvest doesn't publish the allowance or the rates on its pricing page; they are shown inside your account under Settings, Billing.
Can I avoid usage charges in Harvest?
Harvest also offers Unlimited billing at a fixed price, which isn't published. A Harvest spokesperson told the BBC that customers can change plans or ask for a cheaper option (as reported in August 2026).
Does Clockaroo charge for clients, projects or invoices?
No. Clockaroo charges per person who tracks time: $9 or €9 per month, or $7 or €7 billed yearly, plus VAT where it applies. Clients, projects, tasks and invoices never cost extra. Free covers one person with 5 invoices a month.
Does the import change anything in my Harvest account?
No. The import only reads from Harvest. You can keep using Harvest until you're ready to stop.
Where can I send invoices with Clockaroo?
Invoicing works for businesses based in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. In other countries you can track time and export your hours for now.
